Do you like me squirm with embarrassment every time some senior cleric comes out with another pig ignorant statement? Cardinal Dolan provides a classic example of the sort of thing that I am alluding to. His recent assertion that ISIS was to Islam what the IRA is to Catholicism is not so much drivel, as drivel on stilts! What drives these ecclesiastical clowns to make such nonsensical statements? - that's easy to answer, it is the fog of post-Conciliar ecumaniac dogma. Since the Council it has become hard-core ecumaniac dogma that all religions are basically the same. Thus, all evidence to the contrary has to be hastily brushed under the carpet in order to maintain this patently ridiculous fantasy.

Me thinks the Cardinal has been listening to far too much BBC secular propaganda. For starters what is Catholic about the IRA? And what is specifically Catholic about its cause (i.e. home rule). The leadership of Sinn Féin/IRA are hard left secularists, and that is about as far from Catholicism as one can get. Sinn Féin/IRA are currently campaigning for legalised abortion in Ireland, now that's a really obvious Catholic cause isn't it Cardinal Dolan? - duh!

It is true of course that there will be Catholics in the rank and file of Sinn Féin/IRA, but that is because the IRA is fighting for a united independent Ireland. And it is invariably the indigenous people who provide the bulk of the support for home rule movements. The indigenous people of Ireland just happen to be Catholics. But the indigenous people of Ireland, if they were Baptists, Buddhists or Bahá'í, would still be supporting the Sinn Féin/ IRA - their Catholicism is irrelevant to this support. Further, has this ignorant cleric never read of the renowned Protestant, Charles Stewart Parnell, and his support for the Irish Home Rule movement, or of the equally celebrated Protestant, Robert Erskine Childers, involvement in the 1916 Easter Rising?

But let us humour this ecclesiastical joker and just for argument's sake suppose that the leadership of Sinn Féin/IRA are exemplary Catholics campaigning for the Reign of Christ the King. I would like to ask the Cardinal a few questions: when was the last time he was frisked by a fat, bored security guard at JFK because the IRA or the Legion of Mary plotted to blow up a civilian airliner? Or when did he last have his toothpaste confiscated because the IRA, the Catholic Mothers Union or the St Vincent de Paul Society were plotting to blow him to smithereens in mid air?

And remind me dear Cardinal, when was the last time the IRA auctioned off twelve-year-old Protestant girls as sex slaves to their followers? And while you are thinking about the answer to that one, perhaps your Eminence could tell us how many Protestant villages in Northern Ireland are now ghost towns because the IRA had murdered their entire male population, auctioned off their women and children as sex slaves, and blown up their churches, for no better reason than that they weren't Catholics? Perhaps you would also have a stab at telling me how many men have been thrown from the top floor of high rise buildings in Belfast by the IRA for no better reason than they happen to suffer from the disorder of same-sex attraction.

It is well past time to remove the smog of post-Conciliar ecumaniac dogma and face up to what is no more than the bleeding obvious: Islam is a profoundly evil creed. ISIS is not following some radical version of Islam, they are just doing what their demonic religion mandates that all Muslims should be doing. To understand this one merely has to understand a couple of issues central to Islam.

First up, Muslims believe that the Koran is literally dictated word-for-word by God through the Angel Gabriel. The first half of the Koran does indeed includes some noble sentiments along the lines of peace and tolerance. The second half of the Koran, however, mandates Muslims to fight and cut the throats (i.e behead) non-Muslims if they refuse to become Muslims or refuse to submit to Muslim rule. It also teaches that, no ifs no buts, Muslims have a religious mandate to kill Jews if they do not submit to Muslim rule. And what of those non-Muslims who, without becoming Muslims, submit to Muslim rule? - they must pay protection money for the rest of their lives to support their Muslim neighbours. This is why eighty percent of young male Muslims in Europe are on benefit; they regard it as their religious duty to live off the backs of non-Muslims. It is also the second half of the Koran that legitimises war rape, the taking of the wives and daughters of non-Muslims and using them as sex slaves. This attitude to non-Muslim women explains the Rochdale scandals and why, for example, 100% - yes you read that right, 100% - of the rapes carried out in Stockholm in 2014 were carried out by Muslims.

Now here is the kicker: Islam is probably the only religion in the world that believes that God may change his mind. Further, when God changes his mind, his second command always abrogates his first command. Thus, all the blood-thirsty and licentious endorsing and promoting commands in the second half of the Koran abrogate the noble sounding commands in the first half - which is fine for young male oversexed Islamic psychopaths, but very unfortunate, to say the least, for the rest of us.

The second issue one needs to get one's head round is that the Koran is not the be all and end all of the Islamic creed. The Koran tells us very little about Mohammed, but what it does say is critical, and what it does say is that Mohammed is the most perfect man to have ever lived. So what Mohammed said and did is extremely important to the devout Mohammedan. And where do we find out what Mohammed said and did? In the Hadith. Some of these Hadith are very extensive, one reaching nine volumes. The Hadith can be viewed as biographies of Mohammed; they represent "prophetic traditions", meaning the sum of the teachings, deeds and sayings of Muhammad.

Now here is the second kicker. The Hadith records Mohammed had close to a couple of dozen "wives," many of them sex slaves taken from murdered enemies; he married a six-year-old girl and bedded her at the age of nine; he beheaded eight hundred unarmed Jewish captive; had women stoned to death; advocated amputation and floggings (even of wives) and much more in a similar cruel and licentious vein. So, ask yourself dear Cardinal, if God tells you that Mohammed is the most perfect of men and you learn that he did all of these things, what will you be wanting to do, or at the very least feel that you are perfectly entitled to be doing? Come on, Your Eminence, this is not rocket science!

The son of the leader of Hamas recently converted to Christianity and has taken refuge in Israel. He summed it up perfectly when he said, "the worst terrorist in the world is Ala, the God of Islam." Of course there are people who we might be tempted to call good Muslims, but these are merely cultural Muslims, people who self-identify as Muslim but are either ignorant of the teachings of their creed or choose, because of their inherent decency, irrationally to ignore them. ISIS are the true "good" Muslims in the sense that they understand, embrace and follow through on the true teachings of Islam.

Why does all this matter? Well dear Cardinal, unless one is prepared to set aside the fog of hard-core ecumaniac dogma and make the effort to truly know, understand and confront the enemy, who is now alas in our midst, we will inevitable lose the battle, not only for Catholicism, but for western liberal values in general.

Welfare is simply regarded by Muslims as jizya, the poll-tax that should be paid by Kuffar (that's you and me) to Muslims.

It is a "sacred" tenet of Islam that Kuffar (that's you and me) are inferior to Muslims and are to be treated accordingly.  When Muslims are in a position of power, Kuffar are to be institutionally discriminated against and forced to adopt a second-class status, and must pay jizya, a poll-tax on all non-Muslim.  When Muslims are not in a position of power, Kuffar (that's you and me) should be taken advantage of whenever possible.

Now you should understand why so many Muslim immigrants (including now second and even third generations born in Europe and Britain) are on welfare. Welfare is simply regarded by them as jizya, the poll-tax that should be paid by Kuffar (that's you and me) to Muslims.

The first and most important thing to be said about Islam is that it is totally incompatible with Western Civilisation. Islam cannot, under any possible circumstances ever be compatible or consistent with Western Civilisation – the very notion that it can is, literally, impossible and anyone who maintains it is either:

• Hopelessly ignorant of the history, doctrines and practice of Islam, or
• A liar who intends you, your family and everyone you know harm.

Let’s start by disposing of one of the most widely promulgated, yet most obviously absurd falsehoods regarding Islam, which can be summed up as follows: “Islam is a religion of peace that has been hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists who pervert the true, peaceful teachings of Islam; the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful.”

“Islam is a religion of peace” – No, it’s not. The most cursory exercise of rational thought should be enough to bury this lie:

• With the possible exceptions of Mexico and North Korea, the most violent and dysfunctional countries in the world are all either Islamic or have a sizeable Muslim population.
• There are Islamic wars of aggression and terrorist campaigns going on right now in: Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kashmir, Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Nigeria, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Chad, Zanzibar, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Chechnya, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Xinjiang.
• Almost all terrorist groups in the world are explicitly Islamic. Nobody is being delayed for hours at airports, having their nail clippers and shampoo confiscated and then being felt-up by bored security personnel because militant Methodists have a tendency to hijack planes.
• In both war and terrorism (in Islam it’s all the same) Muslims clearly, plainly, explicitly and consistently explain and justify their actions with orthodox Islamic doctrine. Try naming any Christian counterpart.
• In all the current Islamic wars and terrorism, the victims are other Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Animists, Secular States and Atheists. The one thing that all these different conflicts have in common is Islam.
• Individuals, organisations and governments are afraid to debate or discuss the unsavoury nature of Islam because Muslims have shown time and time again that they will murder people who do. This is unarguable by any honest person. Further, the de facto implementation of sharia through “hate speech” laws in the suicidal West and the almost universal cowardice regarding speaking honestly about Islam for fear of being thought a “racist” or “islamophobe” or, at the least, “not nice” means very few people are ever exposed to rational, factual, evidence-based discussion of Islam.

“Islam is a religion of peace that has been hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists” – No, it’s not and, no, it hasn’t:

• Look again at the list of countries where Muslims are waging war against anyone not Muslim or not sufficiently Muslim; that’s a lot of manpower. It’s, also, an awful lot of very different countries in which to find the same “tiny minority of extremists”.
• As stated above, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hizballah, ISIS, Islamic Jihad, Palestine Liberation Front, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, etc, etc, (it’s a VERY long list), ALL state categorically that they are beheading, bombing, shooting, stabbing, raping, kidnapping and selling infidel children into sex-slavery for the greater glory of Allah and back it up with numerous scripturally and (in Islamic terms) theologically correct references from orthodox, mainstream Islam. They do not cite fringe, lunatic interpretations of Islamic teaching but the original sources – the Koran, Hadith (the sayings and doings of Mohammed) and the Sunna (the life of Mohammed).
• Lee Rigby’s cowardly murderers quoted directly from the Koran on camera no less than 22 times after hacking him to death and attempting to decapitate him to ‘explain’ and ‘justify’ their act; shortly after, the world renowned Islamic scholar and Koranic exegete, David Cameron, informed us piously that, “There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act”
• Bearing that last point in mind, the Jihadists (those who actually do the beheading, bombing, etc) are following exactly the same teachings with exactly the same interpretations as the, so-called, “moderate Muslims”. • The key point about this dual nature of the Koran’s contents comes to light once you know about the doctrine of “Abrogation” (al-nāsikh wal-mansūkh). This doctrine is just one of many features that make Islam truly unique among world religions.  Put simply, abrogation means that Allah can change his mind, issuing a command – through Mohammed, naturally – that, literally, is the exact opposite of a previous command. The “revelation” made later supersedes and abrogates the previous “revelation”…….forever.
• ALMOST ALL of the violent, supremacist verses in the Koran come after the Meccaniya and, thereby, abrogate them, forever, especially Sura 9 verse 5, known as “The verse of the Sword”, which is regarded by most Islamic scholars as either the last or next to last of all Allah’s “revelations” to Mohammed: "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them." 

To explain:“slay” means kill. “idolaters” means anyone not Muslim. “wherever you find them” means just that i.e. all non-Muslims everywhere. “take them captive” means kidnap and use as slaves. “lie in wait for them in every ambush” means to pre-emptively use sneak-attacks. “if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them." means, “if they convert to Islam, let them go”.  Throughout Islamic history this verse has been interpreted as an open-ended commission to conquer the whole world for Islam, it is still interpreted that way today and accepted as such by all schools of Islam, Sunni or Shia.  And we can see this verse being obeyed to the letter by Muslims all over the world every single day.  Because of the ‘jumbled-up’ assembly of the Koran, the violent and ‘tolerant’ verses are mixed together, leaving the average non-Muslim, with no knowledge of the Meccaniya, Mediniya or the doctrine of abrogation, unable to make any sense of it at all.

There have been a very large number of polls taken of Muslim populations all over the world; the results are remarkably consistent. Averaged out across all countries, between 15% and 25% of Muslims actively support warfare and terrorism in the cause of Jihad. In officially Islamic countries, that figure is far higher. There are approximately 1.6 billion Muslims, that means between 240 and 400 million Muslims actively approve of and support Jihad. 240 million is almost four times the population of the U.K., 400 million is greater than the total population of the U.S. Yes, that is a ‘minority’ of the world’s Muslims, but does that make you feel any safer? The German population at the start of WWII was around 80 million – the total population of the Axis Countries (Germany, Japan, Italy) was around 174 million in 1939.
Just look at history; every totalitarian movement that has ever existed was propelled by “a tiny minority of extremists” and enabled by a vast “peaceful” majority:

• The Jacobins and the sans-culottes were a tiny minority; the vast majority of French were peaceful.
• The Nazis were a tiny minority; the vast majority of Germans were peaceful.
• The Bolsheviks were a tiny minority; the vast majority of Russians were peaceful.
• The Chinese Communists were a tiny minority; the vast majority of Chinese were peaceful.
• The Bushido military cultists were a tiny minority; the vast majority of Japanese were peaceful.
• The “vast majority of peaceful Muslims” are, at best, irrelevant and, at worst, the enablers of the, anything but, “tiny minority of extremists”.

Three Excellent Books - highly recommended for those who truly want to understand Islam rather than just mindlessly soak up the ill-informed garbage put out by Cameron, Obama and indeed the Pope on the subject.

If you are serious about understanding Islam and the satanic hold that this false religion has over its adherents, the following books are "must reads": 1) Answering Islam: The Crescent in Light of the Cross - this book is a must for anyone concerned about defending the Christian faith.  Dr Geisler and his coauthor, a former Muslim, give a thoroughly comprehensive and lucid examinations of Islam; 2) Twenty Three Years: A Study of the Prophetic Career of Mohammad - this book is written by Ali Dashti, a Muslim scholar and a former minister in the Iranian government.  The book was considered so dangerous that it was smuggled out of Iran with orders for it to be published after his death; 3) Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) - This book is for those who prefer their whisky straight.  Robert Spencer has raised "telling it like it is" to an art form. 

     

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UTTERLY BIZARRE

---The Good---

Sunday the 14th September was to prove a funny old day.

The highlight of the day was the celebration marking Daphne McLeod's forty year fight for the right of children to be taught their faith properly.  The special Mass and reception afterwards was a truly lovely and memorable occasion.  The best part for me came when Daphne entered the club room beside the Church, and everyone broke out into spontaneous prolonged applause.

Father spoke warmly and movingly about her work and Daphne was then presented with a rose (the name of the rose appropriately: Absolutely Fabulous) as a remembrance of the occasion.  She was also presented with a spiritual bouquet which she obviously appreciated enormously.

This was rounded off by a splendid feast provided by the parishioners.

Daphne spent her time happily chatting with well wishers including two Irish Flock readers who had flown in from Dublin especially for this occasion - may both these lovely ladies be blessed for their kindness and devotion.

---The Bad---

A shadow had been cast over the day earlier by the news that Mrs Palmira Silva, the sweet 82 year old lady, mother and grandmother, who had been beheaded in her north London garden by a mentally deranged convert to Islam, was the cousin of members of our congregation.

Politicians prate on endlessly about Islam being a religion of peace.  We should challenge them by asking them to name a single country on the planet that has embraced Islam other than at the point of a sword held to the throat of unarmed men, women and children.  One could also ask these politician to explain why, if Islam is a religion of peace, the Middle East is the least peaceful place on the face of the Planet, and has been so for as long as any can remember.

The barbarism of this deranged young man had me reflecting on what we mean by the word "barbarian".  It sums up those who gratuitously destroys what is beautiful, holy, living, growing, thriving and healthy, those who wantonly tear down in seconds what others have painstakingly built over decades.

---The Utterly Bizarre---

Which brings me neatly to the "bizarre", the tragedy unfolding at the nearby parish of Blackfen, which up until a week ago had been home to a beautiful, thriving, traditionalist community, full of young married couples with lots of children and young people.  It had also provided a warm welcome to home-schoolers, with over a hundred homeschooled children and their parents regularly meeting in the parish.  Half a dozen good and clearly hurting folk were "crying on my shoulder" this Sunday over the mindless destruction of this (their) spiritual home.

A new priest, one Fr Steven Fisher, took over a week ago and was clearly hell bent on the senseless demolition of what his predecessor had built.  Indeed, he gratuitously upset so many trads in the course of the first hour, it made the proverbial bull in a china shop look like Margot Fonteyn.  Space forbids me relating a string of grievances, sufficient to say that he kicked off by announcing at his first traditional Mass that Holy Communion could be receive in the hand!  A bizarre announcement even from the angle of man-management and simple human prudence.  All it could achieve would be to delight half a dozen contracepting elderly post-Conciliar Modernists (who would sooner be found dead than at a traditional Mass in any case) while needlessly upsetting a hundred or more trads.  Within days, the Modernist rag, the Pill (aka the tablet) was on sale at the back of the church - no surprise there then.

The mendacious excuse for this immature and loutish behaviour is "unity."  Oh what crimes O Lord are committed in the name of the sham unity of the post-Conciliar Church!  If there was any tension in the parish it certainly would not have come from the trad side.  Trads are the most generous when it comes to contributing to the parish coffers, invariably play an active part in all parish activities and have no interest whatsoever in interfering in the worship of their Novus Ordo brothers and sisters.  If there was ill-will, it was being stirred up by a handful of elderly contracepting post-Conciliar Modernists.  A priest's role in such circumstances is clearly to be a mediator, a bridge builder, not to use it as an excuse to indulge in an orgy of wanton destruction.

Two devout homeschooling mothers were informed that they should have their children in Catholic schools.  This humbug from a man who had personally told me a decade ago that the only reason that he was a priest was that his mother had had the wisdom not to send him to a Catholic school!  The tragedy is that the man carrying out this wilful vandalism was, I can personally vouch, once a good priest.  One can only weep and wonder when and why he decided to sell his soul to the Revolution and become part of the problem rather than part of the solution - was his conversion motivated by ideology or careerism, or was the original persona merely a sham? - only he can tell us. 

At this hour of decisive battle for the soul of the Church, we must of course expect the Devil to go after good priests, so we must redouble our prayer for our many good priests (and not forgetting a handful of good bishops).  The faithful remnant must also pray for themselves and one another, lest we too through pride fall into the same abyss.

It is difficult to understand what the powers-that-be hope to achieve by the sort of boorish carry on at Blackfen.  No trad that I know is going to quietly melt back into the post-Conciliar Modernist wallpaper merely because one priest is putting a special effort into being unkind and tactless towards him; most would rather seek out the SSPX than go down that particular cul-de-sac.

It is crucially important not to allow these setbacks to discourage us.  In any war there are bound to be setbacks and reversals.  Our post-Conciliar Modernists are currently running around trying to put out the little forest fires of tradition breaking out all over the Church.  They no sooner damp down one in front of them and two spring up behind them.  Pretty soon some of these fires will join up and become bigger fires, and then these bigger fires will join up and become infernos.  Our Lady has promised that ultimately her Immaculate Heart will triumph, so the question is not "if" but "when".  In the meantime, we must expect our post-Conciliar Modernists, as they become increasingly desperate, to become even more intolerant, insensitive and cruel than they already are - for such has proved the final days of all revolutions.

Just reflect that the average age of a Novus Ordo priest in France is seventy-five.  That means that the post-Conciliar Church in France and its bizarre regime of Modernist novelties is tottering on the brink a very steep precipice, and other countries cannot be far behind them.  And do amount of persecution of those who have retained or reverted to the orthodoxy and orthopraxis of their forefathers, saints and martyrs, even if emanating from the highest echelons of the Church, can avert the inevitable - or render the sterile fruitful, or the fruitful barren.

The Fruitful Shall Inherit the Earth

Some very exciting and encouraging forecasts have come out of a recent study of ordinations in France. The study looked not only at the number of traditional priests as against Novus Ordo priests being ordained, but at the current total numbers of each group and their average ages.

The really significant fact is that the average age of a Novus Ordo priest in France is 75! Put simply this means that the Novus Ordo church in France is standing on the edge of a very steep precipice. The study concludes that by 2038, a mere twenty-five years from now, the majority of priests in France will be traditionalists.

However, I believe we can be even more hopeful than this report suggest, because the report has only graphed the growth of the traditional orders, groups such as the SSPX, the FSSP, the Institute of the Good Shepherd etc. But there is another story, what about the young men coming out of Novus Order seminaries who are also traditional minded, and what about those Novus Order priests who are returning to tradition - the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate being just one example? Add in the further fact that traditional Catholics, unlike their Novus Ordo brothers and sisters, and secularists in general, are not busy contraception themselves out of existence, and I believe the future could be very bright indeed for the Church in France.

I suspect that I am too old to see the new dawn, but my children could well live to see France as a vibrate Catholic country once again and ready to reclaim its role as the eldest daughter of the Church. And where France goes, who knows, other countries may not be too far behind. It won't happen overnight, but I suspect we could be talking about decades rather than centuries.

Surly we are witnessing another thread being woven into that beautiful prophesy of our Lady at Fatima, "My Immaculate Heart will eventually triumph." Maybe we can begin to dare hope that the day will come when popes who have sold their souls to the Zeitgeist, like Pope Humble 1st, and scandalous prelates like Vincent Nichols, Cardinal Dolan et al will be just historical footnotes, mere painful memories of an older generation.

There could of course be other clouds on the horizon: Islam and militant secularism two obvious examples, but the Novus Ordo sect, in France at least, is now very clearly and firmly lodged on death row.

I prophesied fifty years ago that this day would come, but was denounced for not being "open to the Spirit". I inquired at the time whether they were talking about the Spirit that had been around for the last 2000 years or the one that had just turned up - no response forthcoming at the time, as far as I recall.

1 - If you believe that having black children adopted by white families may not be a good idea because the children will grow up in an incongruous situation that could cause problems in later life, but believe those who oppose the adoption of children by two men united by an addiction to sodomy are bigots.

12 - If you believe that a sexual pathology (homosexuality) that has given us over fifty per cent of the world's serial killers, nearly eighty percent of convicted child molesters, almost the entire officer core of the Nazi Storm Troopers and some twenty percent of the Nazi death camps most sadistic guards, is merely a harmless "orientation".

15 - If you believe that Obama is right to exploit the tragic killing of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman (a man acquitted of his murder by a jury, which perversely failed to do its duty to ignore the evidence) to serve his own agenda, while completely ignoring the fact that in the decade between 2000 to 2010 blacks have killed 65,000 white Americans in the course of committing a crime.

16 - If you believe that executing a cold-blooded killer by lethal injection is a cruel and unusual punishment that should be banned, but support the right-to-die campaign for the elderly to be killed by lethal injections.  You may be a secular liberal.

If you find that having any of the square circles that comprise the doctrines of your secular "religion" pointed out to you makes you angry and start calling people names like "homophobic", "bigot", "judgemental," etc., rather than prompting you to re-evaluate your position, you're definitely a secular liberal - but don't worry about it, just settle down to enjoying life in the asylum - at least you'll have plenty of company, all those who get their religion from the BBC for starters.

The Crusades (Islam – Religion of Peace?)

Those who prefer to cling to their secular prejudices should click away now.

Anti-Catholic bigots both without and within the Church would have us believe that the Crusades were an example of the wickedness of the medieval Church.  And they get away with their black propaganda because of the abysmal historical ignorance of almost everybody educated in the last fifty years.

A good friend recently attended a CCRS course. CCRS stands for Counterfeit Catholicism for the Ridiculously Simple-minded – I jest – it actually stands for Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies. It is a course designed by the Modernism Enforcement Tsars who have been appointed for the express purpose of destroying Catholic Education by the Modernists who have high jacked most English Catholic sees. The people behind this course belong with those priests (mostly predatory sodomites) who sexually abuse minors, because both are equally comfortable prostituting their clerical office to advance their personal agenda.

The Jesuit Priest in charge for one particular study day, described the Crusades as, “Western colonialism” and lamented the “racism and religious bigotry” behind them, and caused by them. He stated that the Crusades are “a stain on Christianity and the West in general,” for which we should never tire of apologising. My friend, who is a professional history teacher, suggested that he could not be serious about what he had just said about the Crusades and asked where he had picked up such historically inaccurate views, as not a word of what he had said had any basis in historical fact. The Jesuit fell back on the standard first line of defence of a liberal caught telling fibs, “That’s a matter of opinion, isn’t it?”

“No, it isn’t.” countered my friend, “It’s a matter of historical fact; the First Crusade was only called after some 450 years of unprovoked and unremitting Muslim aggression against Christendom.”  The Jesuit asked him to explain what he meant.  “Well, for instance,” patiently explained my friend “Mohammed died in 632 AD; exactly 100 years later, in 732 AD, Muslim invading armies reached Tours in the northern half of France. That’s a hell of a long way from Mecca!  Plus, in the ninth century Rome was besieged and sacked by another Muslim army and the tombs of both Saints Peter and St Paul were desecrated, and the Pope was forced to pay vast sums of protection money”

“Well, I think there is a great deal of debate to be had on the subject” muttered our befuddled Jesuit, now on the defensive, “and I don’t really know a great deal about that. (Emphasis added). But I think, in general, the Crusades were a bad thing.”  There you have it, modern academia summed up, “I don’t really know a great deal about that.”  Yet his self-confessed ignorance didn’t stop him propagating his anti-Catholic prejudices, and pontificating immune to any correction from actual historical facts.  This is a classic example of the fake and manipulative narrative (contra-education) that has been propagated by modern academia, apologists for Islam and the western left for decades.

We should all know it of by heart by now: “The peace loving, advanced multicultural Muslim civilisation was minding its own business (planting gardens, inventing modern medicine, reading Plato, holding interfaith dialogues with Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, etc,. when along lurched the thuggish, illiterate, racist European Christian murderers; driven by religious bigotry and greed who launched a totally unprovoked religious war. They slaughtered hundreds of thousands (some say millions), forcibly converted more and set up western imperialist colonial enclaves where the indigenous Muslim peoples of the region were treated appallingly.  After two centuries of oppression a noble leader, Saladin, arose, united the oppressed ["oppressed" - such a lovely emotive liberal buzz word, isn't it?] peoples and cast out the brutish European Christian primitives, all the while displaying a nobility, intelligence and cultural sensitivity that throws into stark relief the barbaric, mass-murdering cultural, religious and economic imperialism of his enemies.  This monstrous attack on an entire culture and civilization, naturally, traumatised the Muslim world for a millennium and began the deep and totally understandable fear and mistrust of Christendom felt by the Muslim East to this day.  It was a chapter in history so heinous, that the West should constantly feel guilt and grovel and ask for forgiveness.”

There is just one small flaw in this narrative, not a word of it is true.  If you are honestly interested in history, as opposed to ideological dogma, you might want to acquaint yourself with a few relevant facts omitted from this story.  So, in order to do my bit for genuine education, here is a handy cut-out-and-keep little primer to help you next time you encounter another historically illiterate, logic-and-reason-disabled, contra-educated, two-a-penny, left-wing Jesuit.

We all know the modern day Muslim world, well, guess what? It used to be the Christian World.  According to the Ahadith of Bukhari (regarded by Muslim religious authorities as the most authoritative compiler of Islamic traditions), towards the end of his life: “the Prophet of Allah wrote to Chosroes (King of Persia), Caesar (Emperor of Rome) [actually Heraclius, Emperor of Byzantium], Negus (King of Abyssinia) and every (other) despot, inviting them to Allah, the Exalted” to “embrace Islam and you will be safe”. None of them did, and none of them were safe.  The following is for those who would like to know what actually happened.

635 A.D.	Three years after Mohammed’s death, Muslim forces captured Damascus (where St. Paul was heading when he had his dramatic conversion).
636 A.D..	A year later Muslim forces take al-Basra, southern Iraq
637 A.D.	A year later Muslim forces take Antioch ( near the modern city of Antakya, Turkey) where the disciples of Jesus were first called, “Christians”
638 A.D.	A year later Muslim forces take Jerusalem, the Holy City of both Christianity and Judaism.
639 A.D.	Muslim forces invade Egypt, at he time a largely Christian country.
642 A.D.	Muslim forces take Alexandria, the second largest city in Egypt, destroying its famous Great Library in the process.
650 A.D.	Muslim forces take Cappadocia (in modern day Turkey).
652 A.D.	Muslim forces launch attacks against Sicily, they eventually conquer it in 827 A.D.
668 A.D.	Muslim forces launch the first siege of Constantinople (Byzantium), many more were to follow.
711 A.D.	Muslim forces begin the invasion of the Iberian Peninsula (modern day Spain).
715 A.D.	Spain completely conquered by Muslim forces (an occupation that would last for more than 700 years), they begin to press on into France.
732 A.D.	Muslim forces finally stopped at Tours, Northern France, by Charles Martel, the Frankish statesman and military leader.
792 A.D.	Muslim forces launch a jihad (called by Hisham, Muslim ruler of Spain) against France, but are turned back after sacking several cities, killing many and enslaving even more.
838-972 A.D.	Muslim forces take Frejus, near Cannes and use it as a base to raid France and Northern Italy.  Christian pilgrims to Rome are frequently robbed, murdered and kidnapped by Muslim slave traders operating in the Alps.
846 A.D.	After nearly two centuries of increasing raids on southern Italy, Muslim forces sack Rome, desecrating the tombs of St. Peter and St. Paul, destroying many churches and carrying off hundreds of slaves.
848 A.D.	A third Muslim army crosses the Pyrenees and invades France, once again destroying towns and cities, killing and enslaving before being driven back.
870 A.D.	Muslim forces capture the island of Malta.
873 A.D.	Muslim forces launch massive slave raids in Calabria, Northern Italy, leaving the province devastated and depopulated.
878 A.D.	Muslim forces destroy the city of Syracuse,  a historic city in Sicily, killing all most all of its inhabitants and enslaving the survivors.
935 A.D.	Muslim forces capture the city of Genoa, Northern Italy.
976 A.D.	The Fatimid Caliph of Egypt sends repeated military expeditions to Southern Italy for slaves and booty.
Anyone notice something of a pattern emerging here?  I mean, we’d hate to be thought of as islamophobic, but doesn’t it seem as if the Muslims sort of……well……kind of………just attacked, conquered and subjugated everyone?  I mean, not just their neighbours – Tours is after all a hell of a long way from Mecca. And we haven’t even touched on the invasion, slaughter and subjugation of the Hindus, Buddhists and Animists of what is now Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.  Let’s fast forward (I’m missing out quite a lot of slaughter, enslaving, conquest and subjugation at this point).
1004-14 A.D.	The sixth Fatimid Caliph, Abu Ali al-Mansur al-Hakim, destroys thirty thousand Christian churches, seizing their lands and possessions.
1003-1009 A.D.	Muslim raiders increase attacks on the Italian West coast, including Pisa and Rome, from their base on Sardinia.
1009 A.D.	Hakim destroys the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (in Jerusalem), he orders Christians to wear heavy wooden crosses and Jews to wear heavy wooden calves around their necks.
1010 A.D.	Hakim orders Christians and Jews to accept Islam (convert) or leave his dominions.
1010 A.D.	Muslim forces capture the city of Cosenza, in Southern Italy.
1056 A.D.	Three hundred Christians are expelled from Jerusalem and European Christian pilgrims are denied access to the (rebuilt) Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
1071 A.D.	Muslim forces crush the Byzantines at the battle of Manzikert, taking the Byzantine Emperor, Romanus IV Diogenes, prisoner.
1076 A.D.	Muslim forces (Seljuk Turks) conquer Syria, a Christian country at that time.
1077 A.D.	The Seljuks take Jerusalem, slaughtering over three thousand Christians and Jews.
1077 A.D.	Onwards, the Seljuks attack Christian pilgrims, killing and enslaving thousands and denying access to the Holy Land to European Christians.
1095 A.D.	The Byzantine Emperor, Alexius I Comnenus, sends a letter to Pope Urban II, asking for help.
1095 A.D.	The First Crusade: at the Council of Clermont, Pope Urban II calls for European Christians to defend Constantinople and reopen access to the Holy land, especially Jerusalem.

So, let’s recap shall we? After 450 years of unremitting Muslim aggression on Christian countries; invasion and occupation of large areas of Europe; centuries of pillage, rape and kidnapping and slave-trading; after 450 years of totally unprovoked religious warfare; when Christian pilgrims were denied access to the Holy Land and to Jerusalem (the centre of their faith), Christians finally fought back. Memorise or print the above and you too can enjoy yourself causing hyperventilation and accusations of racism and Islamophobia at liberal gatherings everywhere!

After several similar encounter with the Modernists and heretics who runs these CCRS courses, my friend was asked to leave – the very last thing they want on these courses is someone who actually knows their subject; this makes it difficult to get away with their anti-Catholic propaganda.

One Christian dies every five minutes for bearing witness to Christ. According to the club for rich atheists called the EU, approximately 105,000 a year; but given the EU would rather legislate to promote sexual pathology than Christianity, it should not surprise us if we were to find that this figure is a gross underestimate. The vast majority will have lost their lives at the hands of Muslim thugs and fanatics; a time bomb now also quietly ticking away in the UK.

Death of course is but the tip of the iceberg. Hundreds of thousands of Christians suffer intimidation on a daily basis: fear, discrimination, unemployment, homelessness, bestial assaults, crippling injuries and psychological trauma, all for the love of Allah. Children, especial young girls, are at special risk of abduction, rape, forced conversion, forced marriage and sexual slavery. All par to the course for the followers of a religion founded by a man who, when he was over fifty, bedded one of his twenty plus “wives” when she was a mere nine years old, yet who had no scruples about having women flogged and stoned for adultery!
